I have a confession to make. Do not be surprised or shock nor disbelief. It's true. I .... judge a person by his/her face as first impression. *Gasp*

Ok, I guess there's no need to over-react or make it such a big issue. It's just a little bad habit of mine. Well, who doesn't has bad habits?

Anyway, what I want to post here is that I realized recently I should really quit this habit because almost all my first impression on people really deviates from their true personalities. In the past, I had always make judgements on people based on their looks before I actually know them. For example, when I see a person with a cool ( cool as in ice cold ) face, I usually won't approach him/her and talk to that particular person because I'm afraid of being treated coldly and I'm not really an easy-talking person, if you know what I mean. So, it was kind of hard to make new friends back then.

But ever since I transfer in to High School Klang from Sekolah Tengku Ampuan Rahimah for my form 6 education, with a new environment and a whole new community, things began to change. I needed friends, which means adapting to the whole new culture of schools which were once aliens to me and learn to mix with a whole new bunch of people. I didn't have a choice. I was desperate for friends. Lol. How can Homo sapiens live without friends ?

So with my old bad habit, instantly, I started making personal judgements on people around me. Some were positive ones while a few were..not so positive ones. But then, I started mixing with all these new people and occasionally, I'm fortunate enough to see the true sides of them. ( Well, I'm not giving names here as to avoid any possible misunderstandings from friends that actually read my blog. Hee hee )

Anyway, It turns out that some of them were not like what I thought they were. By the way, when I say judgements, I do not just mean judgements on their attitude, but also on their academic. Ya, I know, it's a bad bad habit. Anyway, some of them revealed their true evil tails while some improvises my opinions on them. For example, many cool or quiet looking people turns out to be rather emo and also friendly at times. However, there were also friendly looking people that turns out rather cocky and arrogant. But then, you see, I must admit that some of my judgements are really wrong but there were also judgements where I really come close to their true personality. Nevertheless, it's still a bad habit.

In conclusion, I guess its really time for me to stop judging one person's personality based on their looks. Besides, who am I to judge another human ? Well, I'm glad I'm starting to let go of this habit and making more friends than I've ever made before. I hope nobody gets offended by this post, ya? It's just a tiny confession of mine and by posting it I'm trying to show my determination to get rid of it. I would also like to wish all my new friends made in High School Klang "Friends Forever", quoted from Kerry Seow from 6B2. Lol.

Very true indeed...

IQ

"An intelligence quotient or, IQ is a score derived from one of several different standardized tests attempting to measure intelligence. IQ tests are used as predictors of educational achievement." - quoted from Wikipedia.

Ok, so my class had Pengajian Am lesson today and our teacher, Mr Amat Tarop decided to teach us, or rather gave us some exercises on Penyelesaian Masalah ( Problem Solving questions - mostly related to logic thinking and mathematics ) Everything went well at first, every question seemed easy until there was this particular question that struck me. I didn't know how to do it. Everybody did. The question goes something like this ( translated from Bahasa Malaysia ) :

5. Ramli bought an item worth RM20 from Ramlah's shop using a paper note worth RM100. Due to insufficient changes, Ramlah decided to head over to Rais's shop which is next to his to change the RM100 note. When Ramli left with the item and his change, Rais came over to Ramlah's shop and claimed that the Rm100 note is fake and demanded to change it back. How much did Ramlah lost ?
A. RM 80
B. RM100
C. RM 120
D. RM 200

Get the question? Anyway, I'm still figuring out the solution for this question. If u want to know the answer, you may scroll down to the end of this post ( just to avoid spoilers, lol ). Well, my friends tried very hard to explain it to me but I guess, it was to no avail as I am still completely blur with this question. I've listed out a few possible factors though to why I think I fail to understand this questions and it's solution,

1. Low IQ.

2. Listening to too many opinions on the solutions until there was no chance for me to digest it.

3. Bad business concept.

So you see, I wasn't really happy when I listed down the first factor. So, I decided to take a few random IQ test from the internet. Below are the results ( I took 3 in total )

1. I scored 131 in a test from www.iqtest.com

2. Scored a 110 in a test from www.highiqsociety.org/iq_tests/ ( a very tough one, recommend everyone to try it )

3. Scored another 131 in a test from tickle.com

So, I guess on average I scored a 124 for my IQ. That's not that bad, so why can't I still freaking understand the question?!
Fine, I'll move on to the next factor. Well, not much to say about the 2nd factor, I guess I need time and lots lots of patience from my friend to teach me. Lol. And finally for the last factor, I think I agree the most with it because I'm not very good in this buy and sell thingy. I kept thinking when I sell off an item worth Rm 20, I'm losing Rm 80. Don't ask me why, I'm stupid. So, there goes my dream of becoming a multimillionaire. Sigh.

Oh well, I guess I need to read up on Pengajian Am now. My end-term exam starts this Thursday. Wish me luck! ^^

Answer : B RM 100

p.s. feel free to try and explain the question to me in the Cbox. I'm glad to listen. ^^

Happy Birthday

I would like to wish a Big Happy Happy Birthday to my Mother! It's her XXth Birthday today! ( Hey, a woman's age is forever a secret and that's what makes a woman ... woman I guess ^^. Hey, I know her age, mind you, I'm just not exposing it in the world wide web. Haha)

Actually I was planning to go to a western restaurant to celebrate my mom's birthday and you know, treat her a lil bit since its her special day and all. But this afternoon, my dad told me my relatives are going out for dinner with us too! So, I'm sorry to say that I don't have the financial ability to treat 10++ people to a western dinner. So, we ended up having a small close relative gathering dinner today at a nearby restaurant courtesy to my dad. Oh well, maybe next year ^^. Anyway, nothing special happened, I guess. Haha.

I know its pretty late to do this but, its the heart that counts right? Oh well, I guess its never too late to do this...

*runs off to hug mom*

Courage

My sis sent me a video link 2 days ago :

http://www.malaysiakini.tv/?vid=1372

Well, this video depicts of a few students from UPM protesting against the authorities of UPM for misusing their powers. It seems that the UPM security 'special duties unit' supervisor Zamali Haji Samsi had confiscated a student's laptop and had refuse to issue an inventory of possessions following confiscation of that particular student's belongings, which means acting without the proper procedure.

All I have to say is kudos to all these brave students for having the courage and wisdom to fight for the basic rights of students! Its about time students ( especially Chinese ) stand up against these uncivilized frauds. Now I see the benefits for studying PA ( Pengajian Am ) and Perlembagaan, which is to fight for our own legal rights especially when facing problems like this. We must show the authorities we are no longer the timid generation that is afraid of authority. We are the educated ones and are pretty much aware of each and every right we have, as stated in the constitution. So back off and stop bullying us!

Well, congrats again to these brave young students. I see future leaders in each and every one of them regardless of politics, science or any other fields. I hope that the authorities will b aware that we students are prepared to face proper actions, but if we smell any false actions ....you'll see us charging right at you in no time!

p.s. I hope to see something like this happen in High School some day, but of course for the right reason. That should be exciting and I'll have something extra to blog about! Hee hee!

Oyishii~

Kombawa! Wow, just came back from one of the best Japanese meal I ever had, courtesy to my granduncle! FYI, my granduncle treated my family and other few relatives to an amazing Japanese meal at 'Matsuda' restaurant located at Sri Hartamas ( I have no idea where is this place, thanks to my disability to recognise roads and places lol, although I'm very sure its either in KL or Selangor, no where else haha ) Anyway, it was a great feast, tasted lots of new Japanese cuisine like edamame ( soy bean ), pork's ear and salmon fish head to name a few. Lol.

Anyway, I officially announce that a new err...food has been added into my list of Favourite Food, which is..... Soft shell crab!!

Today was the first day i tasted Soft Shell Crab Temaki.
One word,
AWESOME!!

We also ate lots like Chashu Ramen, Avocado Temaki, Tempura ( my all time inchiban (no. 1)!! ), Sashimi ( whish was also awesome...super fresh! Especially the cuttlefish! So sweeeeeeetttttt!! ) and many many others!

Oh yah, not forgetting this is my first time drinking sake!!

Drank nearly 10 little glasses of it. Taste like red wine.
Lucky didn't get drunk. xD
But then everytime drink also feel the stomach like burning, wonder why...

Well, I didn't know that 1 big bottle of it cost more than RM100++ O.o. Oh well, my granduncle is rich so...who cares? Ishioni nomimashio!! Kanbai!!

Besides that, I also had a great time listening to stories from my uncle (Ah Wee...I have no idea wad his full name is lol). He has a great memory power because he can actually remember events that happened almost 30 years ago, like the story where he lost one of my uncle's football boots when he was only 13 years old...great guy and very friendly too. Haha. Oh yah, and not forgetting his oh-so-adorable son!! FYI, he has 2 sons, elder is Sean and the younger Ryan. Ryan is so kawaii!! And the way he laughs...so contagious lol. I think he's about 3 years old...oh well, i don't know, didn't had the chance to ask.

Bottom line is I had a great time and a great meal and a great 1st time experience drinking sake. Japanese cuisine is now my definite no.1 choice for foreign cuisine. Thank you granduncle!! Belanja us again next time ya??!! Hee hee.

p.s. Due to the inefficiency and laziness of my cousin sister Kia Hooi ( she personally asked for her name to be mentioned, i have no idea why ), no pictures of Ryan will be provided in this post because she didn't want to upload it and send it to me. I know its rude, but please point your fingers at her. Nah, just joking. Lol.
