Panda Eye Syndrome

The post below is inspired by Eliza's pledge to sleep early and cure her panda eye syndrome, I too shall now follow her noble footsteps and pledge to sleep early!

The reason I'm pledging is because in this recent months, I have not been getting adequate hours of sleep for a normal teenager. As most of you would have known, the optimum hours of sleep suggested by scientists are 8 hours everyday. This is to maximise the pysical and mental growth, as they say. However, I on the other hand is getting around 5-6 hours of sleep only per day!

On weekdays, I usually sleep around 1am and have to wake up by 6am. Only on weekends I usually get enough sleep but still, not all of them. So, that is why I'm always tired in school and not forgetting those awful panda eyes. And then I will end up wasting 2-3 hours to sleep in the afternoon. But then, since I've started working again, which starts around 4pm, I no longer have enough time to sleep in the evening since I usually reach home around 2-3pm. There was once I even fell asleep at Kumon! I still remembered 1 student came and told me when I woke up, " Eh, teacher. You wake up already ah? " OMG, so embarassing! Luckily the boss didn't notice me sleeping or I would have been fired long time ago. Hmm, maybe she did notice...*gasp*

Lets take a look at the effects of sleep deprivation,

But the worse of all is I saw it on TV that lack of sleep can also cause hairloss and blackspots!Holy crap! Now, I certainly do not want to be the next baldy nor do I want to have blackspots all over my face. I already have enough population of blackspots around my nose, thank you. I don't want to be 'suan' by Hogzai about my blackspots matching my face or my blackspots 'disusun dengan teratur' anymore! And then, I had this massive headache today that I have not gotten since ages ago. Its obviously a signal to me that it is now time for a change. That is why it is vital for me to sleep early and get adequate hours of sleep! Die Panda Eyes!

This post also serves as a reminder to all you night-dwellers out there! You guys better sleep early too or you might just be the next baldy or get infected by the Panda Eye Syndrome. Who knows ? Don't say I didn't warn ya...

Choppy,
